Dr. Tom Gutberg, DMD

Dentist and Practice Owner

“As a dentist, my main goal is to listen to my patients and address their dental concerns. My patients’ comfort and well-being are my top priorities, and utilizing the best technology in dentistry allows me to provide the most advanced treatment options for achieving and maintaining a healthy smile.”

Dr. Gutberg grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel and served as an officer in the military in the Intelligence Corps. He then moved to the United States and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Neuroscience from Brandeis University in Massachusetts. Following this, he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. After receiving his doctorate, Dr. Gutberg completed a residency in New York City where he trained in advanced clinical techniques. Life then took him to Michigan, where Dr. Gutberg practiced dentistry while his wife completed her master’s degree in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Gutberg enjoys living in the Denver area and exploring Colorado. In his free time, Dr. Gutberg enjoys hiking, skiing, biking, and traveling with his wife, Brittany.

Fran Hastings, RDH

Certified Dental Assitant

I have been in the dental field for over 34 years. I started my career as a Certified Dental Assitant and later earned my Dental Hygiene Degree from the University of Colorado. My priority is to provide a personal and gentle experience for my patients.

I enjoy catching up with my patients every 6 months.  It's amazing when you treat the family and just watch the children grow into young adults. Every day is exciting. I love what I do and love to meet new patients.

As a Colorado native, I enjoy the mountains and all they have to offer. You can often find me camping and hiking with family and friends.

Rachael

Office Manager

Although I grew up in California, Colorado has been great to me. I love the people and had the opportunity to continue my education, receiving my Bachelor of Science from CU Denver. After I finished school, I was offered the chance to move into the world of dentistry. As the office manager, my goal is to help patients understand every aspect of their dental care. I learn so much every day and enjoy talking and joking with our patients.

Some of my hobbies include movies, board games, music, and trying to get in my 10,000 steps per day! I also enjoy playing classical piano, but can’t ignore some of the awesome hits from the 80’s.

One of the greatest things I have heard and try to remember everyday:  “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, that is why they call it the present.” – Jonathan Aibel

Magdalena

Benefits Coordinator

I was born and raised in Poland and moved to US when I was 16. I lived in Texas for 17 years with my mom and brother. I graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. I met my husband in 2005 at Hyatt Regency DFW, where we both worked and we have been happily married since 2010. We also have a beautiful daughter named Maya, who is the most curious and independent little toddler ever. After leaving Texas, we moved to Pennsylvania for my husband’s internship and now we have landed in Colorado for his surgical residence at Sky Ridge Medical Center. This has been the best decision, we love it so much.

During our time off we enjoy hiking, biking, fly fishing, camping, traveling and really spending as much time outside as possible. We are very passionate about food, we love cooking together and going out to taste new cuisines. When we are not outdoors, we love watching movies and listening to music.

I would have to say that one of my biggest accomplishments is immigrating to the United States, leaving my friends, adapting to the new culture and learning the language. I feel very fortunate to work for Dr. Gutberg. All of the staff is very courteous and friendly, everyone always puts the patients’ needs first and makes sure that they are satisfied with the treatment. We want to ensure that all our patients have a pleasurable experience.

In order to provide an excellent service to our patients, I  pledge to always provide an above and beyond experience, to be sensitive and to be understanding to their needs and connect with them on personal level, making sure they are comfortable and happy. The only hope I have is that our patients love our practice as much as I love working here.

Kristina

Certified Dental Assistant

I grew up in a small town in Michigan. As a child I always enjoyed going to the dentist because he was gentle and if you were cavity free you got to choose a large stuffed animal.

In 2010 I began my dental assisting career in Michigan where I learned a lot very quickly. I am a very organized and friendly individual so the doctor started having me train all of his dental assistants.  This is where I first met Dr. Gutberg and had the pleasure of working with him.

I received a call from Dr. Gutberg saying he loved Colorado and he wanted to know if I would ever consider working for him in Colorado.  I flew out to look at the office and said YES.

What an exciting opportunity and adventure!  My family loves Colorado.  My daughter just started school and loves her teacher.  We venture out somewhere new each week and so far we  love everything that Colorado has to offer!  I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Meghan

Certified Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Colorado Springs and have lived in Aurora for almost three years. Initially I began working at Blue Sky Smiles as an extern.  At the end of my term Dr. Gutberg asked me if I would like to join the TEAM.  Obviously I said yes - and I am so happy working here.

In my free time, I enjoy going to or participating in sporting events and being outdoors with my wonderful husband.

I became a dental assistant because I love helping others and I enjoy being able to really see them smile.
